Caluire et Cuire in the heart of the Greater Lyon area is a particularly charming medium-sized town that is much appreciated by its 43,000 inhabitants. Discover the region’s flora, fauna and heritage on the 3.7-km-long “voie verte” (green way) between the Rhône and Saône rivers, across parks and gardens and in its fields and greenhouses. Visit the Jean Moulin Memorial, where the famous member of the French Resistance was arrested on 21st June 1943. Make sure you stop off at some of the panoramic view points around the town for fantastic unobstructed views of the whole of Lyon and beyond as far as the Monts du Lyonnais and the Alps.
